how to travel to doctor with pegasys ?

I am going to meet the NP this Wednesday to do my first shot of pegasys.
I live in NY and weather has been warm....I will be traveling about 1 hour ( i assume the most 1 ½ hours).
What is the best way to travel with the pegasys for that time frame?
Do I need to keep the pegasys in a cooler? on ice?
Thanks…ginger

Ginger, actually Pegasys can be left outside of the refrigerator at room temperature for 24 hours (1 day).  I never traveled without keeping it cold because of unforeseen circumstances.  If someone forgot and left their injection on the counter top it would still be usable within the 24 hr period.

Ginger,

Pegasys can be left at room temperature, without exposure to light for around 12 hrs without compromising the efficacy of the drug.  Most people put their injections in a cold pack or cooler with ice.  You don't want it to freeze on top of the ice so putting it in a plastic bag or plastic container will prevent freezing.
