i need to know if anyone else is doing this

i am having sevier pain in my feet it has gotten bad enough where i may not be able to walk for long distances and will end up in a wheelchair for any outing at all ..i am just wondering if this is part of the disease to be excpected or if i may be suffering from yet another health problem ..i was having some siezure type things where i would shake all over for a few min ..they seem to be brought on with cold or stress ..but i have not had one in awhile ...i have had hep c for at least 17 yrs..went through some rough yrs did a yr of interferon that was hell on me ...so now i dont know if i am just having normal health problems due to being chronic active for so many yrs or if it is from the interferon or what to think .

It could be related. with this disease anything is possible. You wrote that cold triggers the foot pain, first thing that comes to mind is  cryoglobulinemia. You may want to research that.
Have you decided to treat the HCV again? Perhaps with the new drugs coming out. You need to get rid of the virus to feel better.
Best of luck

Normally if cryoglobulinemia is reacting to cold, You would have blood pooling under your skin (vasculitis)  and it would be very obvious. It can't hurt to be tested for it though since it is not that uncommon to have cryoglobulinemia with HCV.

It's easy to attribute every symptom that we can't explain in life to HCV, and it's very hard to know if most of them truly are from HCV. The only thing I feel from HCV after 30 years is swollen feeling in my liver area for the past few years on and off.

Of course if you have advanced liver damage, you would probably be experiencing symptoms related to that, seventeen years is kind of early for advanced liver disease, but it does happen to some people. Some people have had hep c for +40 years or more with no or little liver damage.

Do you know the stage of your disease? Have you had a biopsy? what genotype are you? do you know what your viral load is? do you know know what your liver enzymes levels are?

Do you have a hep c specialist who has been monitoring your disease?

Did you only treat with interferon, or did you treat with ribavirin and interferon. There are many new drugs in development that will start to be available in about a year.

Ask your doc about a med called Lyrica. It's useful in the control of both pain associated with neuropathy and seizures.
