is this herpes

im sorry but i dont know where to post i have been kind of embarresed to talk about this but for bout a year now i have a bump on the right sde of my penis and the bump is dry looking on the top it does not hurt me it does not puss or anything but it does not go away.Can anyone help me thanks.

based on what you've said.... you do not have herpes.

your Dr. may not be stupid, just mistaken. Go back and get referred to a urologist as the others have suggested. Ive been there, done that, they are pros. it's easy

Frankly I'm not used to looking at other men's penises -- of course there's nothing wrong with that as Jerry Seinfield often said -- but yeah, that seems like a real lump/bump, what have you. As suggested, you want to see a urologist, because they look at penises all day long.

I am no doctor either, but herpes is cyclical, it does not come and then stay, it comes and goes. You need to see another doctor and determine what it is.

i think my doctor is stupied because when i went to see him he said its nothing and will go away well ive had this bump for more then a year now......

I'm no doctor, but I don't think what you are describing is herpes.  Herpes will appear as a cluster of blisters, will be painful, and usually clears up after a bit of time.
I'd check it with your Dr.
