isynptoms for hepatitis and liver disorders

i was wondering if someone can tell me if black specks in stool or black strings can be a sign of hepatitis and or a liver disorder? i was diagnosed with micro.colitis and when i'm having a flare-up i get black specks and or little black strings in stool which can be 3-4 inches long. also the stool turns lighter in color. my baby has had promblems with milk allergy and blood in stool and recently he has the same things in his stool which bothers me. the gastro. never gives me a answer about what it is.
