something new from another pharm. itmn-191 found info on vertx stock board.jim i look at this positive because its bringing competition in but do you think it might slow down the fda from aproving vx950 or plough's tx? i know it shouldn't but you never know when you need it. also have you heard of this new drug or has anybody?

No, don't see one delaying the other. Iitmn-191 appears to be another one of many new emerging protease inhibitors being studied. I think each of them such as VX-950 and Shearing's example will be examined/approved by the FDA on their own merit, and at least initially in comparison to SOC. The hope is that future generation of treatments will start combining several protease inhibitors into "cocktail" like treatments for even shorter and better results. Hopefully, within 3-10 years, these cocktails will not require interferon but we won't know that for awhile.
