it's back

Hi, I'm new to this board, but i need advice!
I was found clear from my pegasus.ribov treatments and have been clear for just over a year now.
I started feeling sick again and asked the doc to recheck it,  "reactive"
thry want me to go through the treatments again, and I am almost postive that I dont want to.
has anyone been through it twice and do the do it the same way the second time?

I'd also want to recheck the viral load to see what the numbers are.  It seems unlikely tht you would relapse after a year of being undetectible, so try to relax until you get better information.  Perhaps, as Bobby stated, the test they are using is telling you about antibodies and not  the presence of virus in your body.  Also, you may be feeling poorly for some other reason that has nothing to do with HCV.  Hang in there!  If you were UND for a year post treatment, you are probably clear for life.

What do you mean reactive?? Did they check your Viral Load? What is the number. When you say reactive it sounds to me like a antibody test. If that is the case it doesn't mean anything. You will always have the antibodies because you had the virus at one time. Some one correct me if I am wrong but isn't reactive a term used with a antibody test.

It is hard to believe it came back after a year!  Perhaps you need to get a re test. That doesn't sound right. Did your dr. re check it?  If you are positive again, I don't blame you for not wanting to re-treat. I relapsed myself and don't plan on it anytime soon. Please post your biopsy, stage, genotype and VL. When did you become UND on tx?  Welcome to our forum. I am sure a lot will give you some good info.
