just worried

Hello everyone. I know theres people with way more serious questions or situations then mine. Sorry. .srry to bother and im not trying to get anyone mad or upset for me asking this question. Well I had protected sex with a female while she was on her menstrual period. The sex took place in the shower. Just worried that some blood that was on the condom or around my pubic area would of entered my urethra while i was taking off the condom and cleaning the area in the shower with soap and water. So im worried that I could of gotten hepatitis C from this exposure that I described. thnks for any response that has knowledge about hepatitis c.

Don’t worry. Hep C is blood to blood. Transmition may have been possible (but unlikely) had it been unprotected sex. Hep B would be more likely but still a million to one shot and only if u aren’t immune.  They call it safe sex for a reason.

Really the chance that you have hepc is really nil.

First off she would have to be hepc positive and second off hepc is a blood to blood contact disease and since you didn' have any cut or anything you are fine - even if you did have a cut it would be unlikely. You could drink a glass of hepc and not get the disease so the chance that it entered via your urethra is the same it wouldn't matter one bit.

If you are still worried go get a PCR test if you have a viral load you are positive but I doubt that you would at all.

Thanks for your respond. Well it's only 18 weeks since the exposure and I read that you need to wait I don't know which one but is 24 or 26 weeks after the exposure to get a conclusive test result. Well I have a good immune system. Thanks to God. I'm not trying to offend or disrespect anyone on here. Because there's people on here with hepatitis c. So I'm waiting either at 24 or 26 weeks to get tested on a antibody test. With your knowledge by when would you be able to get a conclusive test result if your not on chemo therapy and etc from a antibody blood test? Thanks again.

No very doubtful but if you are concerned that much go get tested.  It's a simple blood test and will give you the peace of mind you desire.
