labs in

I received my labs and the hepatologist said they were all normal, bloods, and ultrasound, i do have 10M VL though.  The hepatologist will be doing my bx on the 19th, but he said his guess is that I have a mild virus which may not be affecting the liver very much.  I guess we will see on the 19th.  i dont know how long I've had it, but I did have hep in 70, we thought it was A or B, but I was so young and stupid had no idea what was going on.  I see there are so many different scenarios.  I guess I'll just have to wait until the 19th to see how my liver is doing.  Thank gawd for the AD's.. I never heard of it put that way nor 10 mil. being called mild virus?

Good luck on your bx tho. Many of us had this since the 70's, myself one.
Even being a 'weekend' drinker (no drugs) past 30 yrs. came out stage 2/3 (on border of in the scale 1-6) grade he just said mild AKA not too bad but needed to start tx quick.

Yeah, I dont understand what that means either, He was also a transplant hepatologist before relocating here a year and a half ago.  We shall see on the 19th I guess

I think the doctor meant that the impact of the virus on the liver is mild.  Individuals can have very high VL and have very slow liver impact.  There is no correlation between VL and liver damage.
