lost medication

by nakita, Dec 21, 2004 12:00AM
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone. My ribivirin was delivered to the wrong address on Friday or so I believe this to be the case. I spoke with Advance PCS about not recieving delivery of my medicine. I was told by the drug company if the medicine is not located I will be responsible for picking up the tab for more meds. Fed ex is currently trying to go back to where they believe the medicine was delivered. Just venting was not looking forward to putting out $$$ for meds especially over christmas. any suggestions?

I have always had to sign for my meds when delivered by Fed Ex. Don't you? You cannot be responsible for something that you did not recieve. I could see if it was delivered to your addresss and taken from your front porch but not if it was not delivered at all. Good Luck

Don't let them tell you how it's going to be.  If you did not receive your meds, it is not your fault and either the drug company or Fed Ex must be held accountable.  Ribavirin is not cheap.  I had a situation with Airborne Express - they just left a laptop computer on my doorstep in a busy apartment complex.  It was stolen by the time I came home.  After many phone calls to Airborne, I finally got a supervisor admit to me that their policy is that signature is required for deliveries declared at over $200, regardless of whether a customer requested signature at delivery.  I imagine that Fed Ex has a similar policy.  Did you declare the value of your meds with Fed Ex?

wow, that was really a scare with my meds. The drug company was not empathetic at all and I was in tears by the time I hung up with them. Fed Ex admitted delivering the meds to the wrong address and took resposibility and so I'll recieve new meds on Friday. appreciate all the input.
