I was on neupogen for 4 months during tx. My doc said if I let the wbc stay low, I was at risk to severe infections.

I found the neupogen made me short of breath. It would make me very tired for a day, then I'd feel really good for a while but everyone is different.

Make sure to keep copies of your labs. You can see on your CBC's ( complete blood count) what difference the neupogen is making. If your wbc come up, you may be able to stop taking it.

The shots really hurt me until I finally realized to let them warm up to room temperature, first.
Good luck.

I've been on neupogen since the third week of TX.  Same deal, low WBC and ANC, 75% drop in three weeks.

Levels still haven't gone back to normal but did come back up to 50% pre TX level so I gotta stay on the meds 'til the end of tx, 33 weeks from now.

I do neup 480 every two weeks.  What's your dose?
