I'm sure this is a very stressful time for you. Try to relax, these things nearly always work out OK. It's a fact.

You will likely have trouble getting insurance unless through a group policy - like through work.

The drug manufactures have great programs through which you can probably obtain free treatment drugs. That leaves you with the expense of medical visits/procedures and lab tests - and maybe support drugs - but those can be gotten free too, I think. Someone else will no doubt have more detailed info. I do believe many patients here have sucessfully completed treatment without insurance or much in the way of financial resources. Best of luck.

Layla,
Follow these links for free meds from the pharmaceutical company and free lab work. They're approval is fast and painless. They ship the medicine right to your home. The labs i use are all over the u.s. so you should be able to find one.
I am uninsured and well into treatment. It can be done. Depending on where you live they may have clinics that offer free dr's as well. I pay for my visits but get a discount because of no insurance. There are also free "rescue drugs" but you might not need those. If you do, come back and we'll give you the links for those as well. Best of luck to you. I know it's alot to absorb in the beginning but you can do it.   Tracy

I am so sorry to hear you have hep C and no insurance.  But as others have stated there are programs for the free meds.  Kalio is the one who posts the info from time to time, but the last time I wrote it down in case some every needed it.

So here it is:  Commitment To Care 1-800-521-7157  they will give free Peg and riba and if you need a recure drug because your HGB drops, which happens sometimes because of the riba, here is the # for free procrit:  1-800-553-3851 or www.procritline.com

I hope this helps you.  Just know you will find very supportive  and people who really care here on the forum, I know I have and without them would never have gotten through this. We are not drs but you'll find much knowledge here as we all did.  Any questions you have, please post and I assure you someone will be there to help you get through this.

sorry about your financial trouble but i think you have come to the wrong place to ask for money. we can offer support for questions or trouble you are having with hepatitis or treatment but you will not get any money from anyone here. dont take this the wrong way but i would never send money to someone in another country especially over the internet. i can not offer money but i can offer you prayers. best of luck to you and your family.
