meds left @ 150 F for 5 days

I went to Orlando for 5 days and (dumb me!) I completely shut the air conditioning
off in the house before I left!

When I came back last nite the house was soo hot it must have been 125 F degrees!
All my meds were in here...do you think they are still good? I'm worried about taking them if they are not good no more since I just started theraphy a month ago.
(Peginterferon-Ribavirin).

On the brighter side I managed 5 days of walking the Orlando theme parks succesfully!

I have a question for you.  Why wasn't the Peg in the refrigerator?  If it was in the fridge, it would be fine.  The Riba, I think might still be good. Check with the pharmacist.

Do you mix the peg before you do your shot? (vs a prefilled vial) If so, I don't think that it needs to be refrigerated. The riba doesn't have to be refrigerated. If it makes you feel better check with the pharmacetjical company or your pharmacist.

I would definately check with the pharmacist. On the instructions that come with your meds it say to store in a cool dry place 80 degrees. You might get lucky and it will still be okay if not see if they will replace it. I used to get mine sent UPS and had to be here to recieve it because it had to be refridgerated. Even the kind that I had to mix myself said it recommends refridgeration. Good luck to you.

Peg-intron that you mix needs no refrigeration. Read the info that comes with the peg and see if it gives a temperature range-I thought it did but my memory sucks. You can check their websites and look for info also. frank

Just found some info. The Redipen should be stored at 36 deg f to 46 deg f.(Refrig.} The little bottles that you mix have an "excursion" range of 59 deg f to 86 deg f. I assume you have the little bottles like I did or you would have mentioned the Redipen? Anyway this info should be on that long info sheet that comes with your peg-intron. frank

WoW... that's some timezone difference.. it was like 8:00 a.m. here when I posted... (not real sure really cause I didn't look) but I think when I get up to Alaska we'll be 12 hrs different???? There was this gal that was a family friend of my 2nd x’s that went over there…. Fell in love, married the man & never came back… I have heard it is a GREAT PLACE… she sent my x mother-in-law a souvenir… it was a little pouch that was made out of Kangaroo Scrotum. LoL

I don’t know about this platypus, or koala pie either…. Ya’ll eat & do some STRANGE Stuff over there…. But what the heck… gets me into trouble occasionally, but I’ll try anything at least once!

the funnel comes from where i live on a lovely freshwater ck (running)crystal clear with fish n platypuss amongst the rain forest on a range (gods country)-funnel creek. winter here at the moment but somer is great for swimming.you guys make me laugh!lynda the doc was giving me panadien forte and i was eating them like lollies-no good for ya.tramal-tramadol gets rid of aches n pains but you have to be careful not to have with anti-deppresants n some medications .xxxxxxxxxxxxxxdean

LoL... Sure I don't like it when folks start disappearing around here... makes you wonder if they are doing okay, or in the hospital or something.

Sounds interresting there... I call Alaska Gods Country because it's just so beautiful.... I swear I could LIVE There & Never want to leave...

I ate so much seafood & local cuizine there that I actually gained 5 lbs when I was there... but of-course on this TX it didn't stay on.... I've lost a total of 20 altogether so far.

Did have a hard time locating some fresh dill because the samon were running & it's tourist season... LoL

I am determined to get to Aussie one day.... I have always been fascinated by the beauty, & culture there. The Accents too... Ha! I want to go into the OUTBACK too... I LUVED my wildlife tundra tour up in Denoli.

Hey.... question... what if you need anti-depressants during TX.... not everyone needs them, but I did, & take Zoloft... but what are your options?

I don't wanna get up... been pouring rain for about 14 hrs straight, & that's when I do my best sleeping.

Zero at midnight huh, I wondered how cold it got there.

These drugs can make the emotions run high, & make us more sensative to things.... Not everybody has a need for anti-depresants, & some have actually said that the natural green herb helped them tremendously, Some don't even need that.

It's Easy enough to figure out... I knew I needed & or needed adjustments to Anti-depressants when I would be driving down the road & start crying for NO reason... or get aggitated & start driving aggressively.. the mood swings were like Hot N Cold.. plus I am a little dislexic which doesn't help.... LoL
