natural brunette, but now a blonde! me like!
I think it is...
reason?? I know too many people that same age that have the exact same problem and they do not have hcv. Its called getting old. yuck.
I don't even try to remember things anymore. Makes life a lot easier. Then you can play the old geezer card if anyone calls you on it.
I do believe it may be a little worse if you have hcv on top of it... course if your liver is going down, and you are pumping amonia into your system then you get a lot more than "forgetful"
is your wife blonde? Just kidding LOL. I gotta agree with you, my short term memory stinks. I often find myself missing a word in a sentance that I just can't remember, I can describe what I am thinking but just can't remember the word for it. If that makes any sense? I am 47 and honestly don't think it is an age thing.

HRQOL scores-health related quality of life!
Look these these up,use a search engine-it's not rocket science!
what was the question?.... oh yeah.
I will say that my memory, esp. short term is very bad, but I think it is an age thing.
My wife has the same memory problems, probably a little worse and she does not have hcv.. but she is 44. It happens.

There are very few conditions known to man for which Hepatitis C and/or it's treatment has not been blamed.
Memory loss and confusion are verifiable complications of advanced cirrhosis.
Does chronic Hep C cause quantifiable memory impairment in a significant proportion of patients compared to a healthy control group of the same age-probably not.
HRQOL scores are ,however, significantly lower among Hep C groups than among controls.
