middle and upper abdominal pain

I have been waking up with sever pain in the middle and upper part of my stomach area it feels as if someone had been sitting on my stomach all night long what could it be???

I had the same thing happen during tx., but never mentioned it to my hep. a couple months post tx i ended up in ICU with 3 bleeding ulcer that had been oozing for months. Needless to say i had to have 4 units of blood (which is how i got hepc to begin with), please get yourself checked out so you dont have to go through something like this.

I have the same problem.  I wake up almost every morning with a very sore stomach like someone has literally punched me in the stomach.  I had an endoscopy done and it was found that I have mild chronic inflammation and a lot of sores in addition to a lot of acid.  It wasn't explained to me why I have this problem because they couldn't find the bacteria that leads to ulcer disease.  You might want to see a Gastro Doctor and get an endoscopy done.  I hope this has helped.
