nausea meds

I am currently in my 9th week of triple tx and am really having a hard time with nausea.
I currently take hydroxzine and ondansetron, but I'm finding the nausea is getting worse.
At first the ondansetron worked pretty good, but over the week or so I have been really struggling to keep everything down. Food and meds.
What are some other meds I can take?
I tried compazine last week and that was a disaster for me.

Also for those of you that are on Incivek and ondansetron, what is your doseage on the ondansetron?
I'm currently taking 16mg and my dr. says I'm maxed out.

everyone says pot works so i tried it... it made me feel horrible and more nauseated than ever... but it might be worth trying...
zofran and rest work the best for me.. but you might try adding one more nausea med to what you are taking... my sistern law is taking 4 for the chemo she is on...
good luck ... i hope you get some relief soon

Yes, that's what the prescription is written for. All other nausea meds caused intense anxiety attacks unfortunately.

I had an awful time with nausea for about 7 weeks and tried everything, finally in desperation I took an over the counter zantac 150 and the nausea went away! I take one everyday now but wait about an hour after the riba to take it. You might give it a try as my kidneys were suffering because of the nausea I couldn't even drink anything. Dr even had the phenagrem made into a cream to rub into my skin because the pills werent cutting it. I'm not kidding though try a zantac and see what happens, it can't hurt and my dr did try to put me on nexium for acid reflux which I had never had before tx, but I went with zantac as my husband already had some and the compounded cream was 80 bucks ouch

Promethazine also known as phenergan may work, It does leave you drowsy. Check for interactions though.

I am on Triple treatment with VIC Dronabinol it has the same ingredient as pot but it's not working. I live in a state where medical maijuana is legal. I have filled out the papers to take to my doc on Thursday.

Actually, its true, pot works for headaches and nausea.
If you live where I do you could go to a dispensary and tell them your ailments. They'll advise you which 'brand' to use.

Pot works.  (I don't use it, but a friend has been going through some bad Chemo and it's the only thing that works for him.)

Your dr. said it was OK to take 24mg. of the ondansetron per day?
Mine is reluctant to let me take that much because of some sort of drug interaction that could be bad for my heart. In fact I have to do EKG's once a month.

Not sure if this will help but be sure you're taking the riba with a substantial meal.
