This is the worst neup reaction, yet.
I can't imagine doing it 2 or 3 times a week.
Twice a month is bad enough.
Thanks for the offer but think I'm covered by the insurance, now. Two more 3-month shipments to go. One in November and the last in January.

My wbc and anc levels still aren't normal. And don't even ask about my platelets!
Thanks for the link. My shy hummingbird is still zipping around visiting the flowers. I freeze whenever she appears but that doesn't always work with her. I've lived around bolder ones that would peer into the window at us, like we were the ones in the zoo.
If you need some free neup, e-mail me.
Hawk,
I have blood drawn every month and neither wbc nor ANC have risen to normal levels during TX. Most of the time they're flagged as ALERT which is, I guess, why I'm still on neup.
Here's a link someone sent me. Bird-lover that you are I thought you'd enjoy it.

sfw,
yeah. I hate the neup. It makes my entire body ache and gives me chills.

i take neupogen every Tues evening and i get sick of that injection, i just dread knowing all day i got to come home and shoot up lol.. iam just about to be a RN with school, lol cause iam excellent at giving shots LOL..neupogen makes me nausea and feel strange, worse then tx..Just think positive
I hated neupogen. My liverhead checked ANC not wbc. Ironically, my ANC dropped while I was on neupogen. If I were you, I'd check with my doc and see if you could skip a shot, do a CBC, and see how you're doing.
I read that shitake mushrooms were supposed to help wbc but I hated the taste while on tx.
Good luck Wyn.
BTW: the ducks are back on the pond and flocks of wild pidgeons are flapping around in the oaks.
Don't mean to whine but I am soooooo tired of this and, yup, the anticipation of the injection is usually worse than the actual shot.
But I always seem to have a worse reaction to the neup than the peg.
OH well . . . (sigh) . . . thanks for responding. Guess I'm gonna bite the bullet and take my meds. Don't wanna do anything to interfere with the TX.
But I guess I still don't entirely get the neup . . I mean, if I was still working with hundreds of snotty nosed kids per day, that's one thing. But the past few months I'm a virtual hermit.
Still, pre Tx levels were up near 5 . . . and they never have gone back up to more than 50% of original levels. Same for ANC
i dunno . . . . guess I need a kick in the butt tonight . . . hey, you're good at that. :)

I have found, and my hemo took the approach, that procrit-like stuff is on a regular schedule and neupogen is more on an 'as needed' basis. However, it's guided by regular cbc's, like every . Neup is quick acting within a day or two and that's why the doc had a reactionary process. Also might check on the ANC level the doc suggests. Many will wait until the anc (not wbc's) reach 500 or lower. Know what you mean about all the punctures, gets really old.
