Yes, I was taking Neupogen for about 95 weeks of 98+ weeks of my daily Infergen injections.
I had on average 2 shots (300 mg each) per week.  I still found that pains were less intense from Neupogen then from Neulasta (1 shot per week - pegalated form of Neupogen).

I noticed that walking was helpful.

All the best to you in your treatment ... all the way to SVR!!

I'm sorry - Neulasta is injected 1 x month.

All the best!

Ditto to what Tallahassee said in both comments.  I looked in a few places and bone pain is a list side effect for Neup,  up to 24% of users.  Are you on auto-pilot for using Neupogen or does the doc tell you when to use after seeing results of bloodwork?

iam on auto pilot once a week, if anything changes they call and say hold off on the shot but out of 7 weeks i have taken it 6 weeks.... Hate those aches and pains.. they draw blood every other week now..the neupogen is 300 mg

I take neupogen twice a month and I gotta say i dread that injection more than the weekly peg.  Bone pain, aching, fever, . . . yup . ...sounds familiar.

I was taking neup twice weekly. I'd do the shot, and spend a day barely getting upright, then I'd have a couple of good days and down and around again. I used a heating pad for the aches.
My breath got really short and my emotions were off the chart. I hated the stuff but now that I'm done with tx, the aching is gone, I can hike up hills again.     Good luck.

HEY, your only 7-8 weeks in and already on the Neup. shots ????  Why already? Is that common to need to fast? I am concerned on this also because it's a rescue drug I won't get in the trial and in past 7-10 days I have gone DOWN, fast!  In bed since Monday..totally...can not get up/do anything! My bathroom 12 feet away is a long walk (got a bedpan, LOL)
Is this signs of WBC issue's? Will you (sfw) have to take the whole tx now? You seemed to be doing really well. I already had much leg pains with just Hep symptoms, did you?
If you don't mind me using your thread here....have you or others had a lot of heart palpitations, off and on all day? I have MVP so already deal with it , but much more going on?

If you are at all anemic or down on your potassium palpitations are very common.  Don't know if that's your case or not, but relieving those two issues can do wonders IF that's what is causing it.

As far as the neupogen/neulasta, I am sitting at 2.5 on wbc count or 1.1 on absolute netrophils and I am still not doing neulasta.  More concerned with getting my rbc's up at the moment.

they said my wbc seems to be getting off so instead of letting my immune system drop they suggested and highly recommended.. i just ache from this ****...leg cramps the most..i get very short of breath the day after and then i kickback.. Iam gonna kill this old satan buzzard in me.. .  GOD is in CONTROL.. Iam unsure if i will have to take neupogen the whole time just depends on lab
work drawn.. I just had foot pain prior to being dx 7 weeks back.. iam stage 2 and grade 2.. BUt GOD is my strength

wow..I am continnually surprised by the difference in the protocol of treatments...my hubby's docs told him they'd just take him off TX if his wbc dropped too low. No mention of neupogen or anything else--just stop treatment. Also, he has a systemic staph infection from (of all things!) an ingrown toenail--he's on his 3rd round of antibiotics and it's not working..next step, IV port and IV infusions OR they'll take him off TX. It seems like they are looking at everything as a reason to stop TX and we can't figure out why. (To be honest, we never actually talk to a doc, we have to go thru a nurse coodinator who talks to the drs then she gets back to us (eventually)--my hubby has not seen a Hepatologist in over 2 months, and doesn't have a appt for another month. Is that common? How often do you see your docs? How easy is it to communocate with him/her? A real frustration for us.
