no pancreas

My friend got her pancreas taken out last year she says shes pregnant is this possible iam confused how the baby will grow in her womb and will her health be effected as well as the babys? shes on the peg feed as well as taken medication.

1. Friend has her pancreas taken out (???) Why and what for?

2) She's pregnant (being female - that's always possible - unless her reproductive organs are missing.)

3) Babies usually grow inside wombs...

4) Why was her pancreas taken out - and will being pregnant tax her system --- and will it effect her baby? I really don't know. Sheesh - I'm totally unaware of the pancreas - I barely have any information on the liver... which is basically what this part of the forum is about and Hepatitis C (B and A).

5) and she is also on peg feed and taking medicine? What kind of medicine? What is a peg feed? What is she taking peg feed for?

I think I would need to know those answers --- like how old is she? What's wrong with her - medically? etc. etc. etc.

Ps. I'm thinking that you have the Hepatitis Board by mistake ---- unless you are referring to peg feed as Pegylated Interferon ---- (pegasys).
