Just wanted to thank everybody who responded to my question and say how touched I am by your response, its so comforting to know that a disease with such stigma surrounding it also comes caring individuals such as yourselves.

please have her get in touch with us we would love to help support her in all this...we are a fun bunch even in the midst of all this stuff...we also can give her some "healthy ideas" of things to do to help protect the liver while she is waiting to start treatment...if pregnant though all herbs etc...should be okayed first by dr...

there are healthy foods too she can eat though that are good for those with sick livers...lots of vegies and fruits with great antioxidents as well as foods with things in it known to be good for livers like flax oil and artichokes, etc...

be sure to have no alchohol at all or exposure to harsh chemicals or sprays etc...no smoking...all stuff you are probably doing now anyway for the pregnancy...

be sure to keep her eating and staying physically healthy with plenty of sleep and rest...this will naturally help the immune system while your waiting to treat...
