oral ulcer

I develop oral ulcer on my tounge and thoat.....it is very painful and makes me tired, fevered and stops me from eating properly. Do you have any suggestion how to treat, please?

I would see a dentist to make sure what it is. In the mean time you can mix 1/2 and 1/2 liquid benadryl and maalox or other liquid indigestion medication and swish it around your mouth. Tht won't hurt you but y ou need to find out if the ulcer is due to yeast because you will need an anti-fungal to get rid of that.

I had devleloped something on my throat as well when I was txing. I went to dentist , and he referred to to an oral surgeon right away. Oral surgeon said it was a pigment that had developed from tx.

I would check it out so you can treat it asap.

Mouth sores are not uncommon; may be related to low bloodwork (at least that's when I get it).  You can get an aneshthetic mouth rinse but just using a mouthwash, like Biotine or Listerine, will cause them to at least improve in just a few days.

JennyPenny’s solution is excellent, along with the others as well. If it is fungal, Nystatin can be added to the Maalox and benadryl. Also, sometimes an anesthetic like lidocaine can also be included to provide relief on contact. Be sure to discuss any of this with your doctor, of course.

I did get a small sore on the side of my toungr 2 weeks ago...and it was stinging for a week...i used tea tree oil and water as a mouth rinse to help it heal.

I used the same mix as JennyPenny.  I also used biotene tooth paste.  It is very painful, It came and went durning my treatment time.  I would also see a dentist to be sure.
