other meds with treatment

I wanted to know the names of different medications that might be prescribed during treatment. Names of rescue drugs, anti nausea drugs, or any others that may be given during treatment. I want to look them up thru my insurance to see how much they will cost me if needed. Just trying to budget how much treatment could end up costing.

I know that one of the drugs that they will give if you become anemic is called Procrit.

I do not know all of the drugs but here are some I was prescribed:

Zofran 8 mg (3 X Day) (it has a generic form)f for nausea/vomiting
Fluocinonide ointment for rash that would not respond to hydrocort. cream
Xylocaine/hydrocortisone cream for the anal burning and itching
Restasis eye drops

The over the counter stuff can add up too (but not so much as prescription:
Huggies baby wipes with aloe
Preparation H supp.
Preparation H cream
Tylenol
Benadryl caps.
Loperimide tabs.
Hydrocortisone cream
Zyrtec

I've compiled a list of some meds over the last few months of being on this forum, I just started tx. One that's been a big help so far is Zofran, in about three more weeks I'll be starting Victrelis and may need something stronger, but who knows, for now I'm doing ok. I also have a script of zoloft waiting in the wings just in case. lol Good luck

Triamcinolone topical is used to treat the inflammation caused by a number of conditions such as allergic reactions, eczema, and psoriasis. The dental paste form of triamcinolone is used to treat mouth ulcers.

What is Promacta?
Promacta is a man-made form of a protein that increases production of platelets (blood-clotting cells) in your body.
Promacta is used to prevent bleeding episodes in people with chronic immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), a bleeding condition caused by a lack of platelets in the blood.

Oftentimes this is one of the reasons that people do.  OF course, you might not get any of these sides but if you do - you are going to want these meds for certain. It makes it a lot easier.
