pain meds and hep c

im prescribed roxycodone 30mg twice daily for other problems ex. fibromyalgia and two different types of scoliosis, plus three fused vertebrae along with six herniated discs. By taking this pain medication would it cause major damage to my liver? The doctor told me that there isnt anything he can do to fix my above listed problems except try to make me somewhat comfortable, but for me to expect to be on pain meds for the rest of my life. I was diagnosed with hep c approx 2years ago, this is when he changed my pain meds from 10mg percocet 10/650 four times daily to the roxicodone, but also i have been tested since and nothing has shown up, so i dont know if maybe its just laying dormate. my dr has never offered any form of treatment for the hep c like interferon etc... I know that alcohol and tylenol can cause major damage to your liver but beside those ive never really been told of other meds or foods even for that matter that could cause a flare up or do permenant damage. If u could answer about the roxycodone... also im on 5mg vallium once daily, and flexeril twice daily for muscle spasms along with 600mg ibprophen for inflamation, lyrica for the fibro, and ambien at nitght to help me sleep

PS sorry at work and going to fast today - you need to find out if you have been tested for the antibodies only or if the second test was in fact a PCR which would tell you if you have a viral load. If you do not have a viral load you do NOT have HepC but you will always have the antibodies from being exposed to it.  About 20% of all people that get hep will beat it off with their own immune system.....that would mean you don't have it and you don't have to worry about it.

See why it'd be great to know you might not even have it?

Your doctor would know best which meds might hurt your liver or not.  The hepC on it's own can hurt your liver terribly so it is crucial that you take as good care of it now as you can.  Is there any way you can do some examination to find out where you stand (ie: a biopsy (which isn't painful like it sounds), liver enzyme levels things like that?
there is no such thing as 'dormant' hepC - you either have it or you don't have it. It's crucial you find out where you stand with it.
