I have cronic hepatitis C since 1969 . My LFTS have been normal checked yearly. I have recentley got a PCR test and it came back at 1000000. I am not having any symtoms and if it was not for fact that I spent a few weeks in the hospital in 1969,  I and my MD would not be looking for Hep. I guess my question is after 30 plus years no symtoms, normal LFT, do I take the next step  I mean liver biopsey and the RX for hep C. My gastro is all for it now 2 years ago he was not.A littel info I am 50, married, four children. I had Prostate CA and surgery for that at 44 years old. Any help would be greatful.
