It's awfully hard to pinpoint any problem that long past EOT.  Could be interferon, might not be at all.  Look at other meds that you are currently taking.  Side effects of some others, like sleep meds or antidepressants, can interfere with brain functiion.  Some times we associate changes that are results of natural aging with TX meds.  Interferon has only been used for HCV therapy since the early 90's.  I imagine they will be able to tie more permanent damage to IFN in time, but they are not working on that right now as far as I know.

Hola Amiga,

Could you please let me know what supplements one can take to improve brain function after tx.

My brain function has definitely decreased and it is very annoying. VERY annoying. I am almost 6 months post tx and my brain would have returned to normal by now.

I have problems expressing myself properly, as I just don't remember words and the way one phrases certain things. Also my memory has become quite poor.

I think loss of vision you mean complete vision or blurry vision did you see an eye doctor? what vision loss do you have?

and brain issues Brain Fog  that is a given on tx and with Hep C  as they say the virus can enter the brain   there are good supps you can take for both conditions but I would see an eye doctor  and read about supps on the search page of this forum

I am sure post tx many things come up from what I have read here  many may have had a predispostion which tx brought out

I have had Hep C for a few decades and I suffer from many things  I am tx naive just was dx last year

I do not think there are any winners here  SVR but every one pays a price  once you get Hep C

I think it is a constant learning experience of getting to know your self real well
good to be on the forums with like people   coming through treatment unscathed is a pretty low percentage Albiet        Baja
