pegetron , fibromyalgia and joint pain

A close friend of mine has hepc. She took pegetron some time ago, and now has thyriod problems and joint pain. Some days it is rel bad...she remebers reading somewhere this could be a side effect of the pegetron... does anyone have any information on this? please help..

if you google " interferon and neuropathy or fibromyalgia' see what hits you get.  You get hits on a search for hep c and neuropathy  also, if he still has hep c.  was his treatment successful or does he still have hep c? I remember reading that thyroid problems can contribute to the pains also.  Has he seen a rheumatologist or a neurologist? a pain management provider can help him cope on a daily basis.

Her treatment was approximately 5-7 years ago (I didn't know her then) her treatment was successful. But over time the pain has gotten worse. She takes codine to deal with the pain but some days the pain is unbearable. It also is worse in cold/wet weather. She has not seen a rheumatologist or a neurologist.

Okay I was able to find some new clinical studies about this.
There is a direct corelation between HepC and thyroid and fibromyalgia..
what I did was goggle fibromyalgia+thyroid+hepc
hoping this will help anyone else who is looking for information inregards to this..
