pegylated interferon 2b

I have just started treathment with ribavirin and IFN 3MU 3 times a week,but I have red about PEG alone and in combination with ribavirin.I'm very confident that it could be more effective than standard interferon also in combination even if italian doctors are waiting some other experimentation trails.I would like to save time using the most effective therapy for my HCV and I'd be available to pay the cost of pegylated on my own since ribavirin's costs are paied by The italian state.
