I was wondering if there are any people out there that are taking Harvoni now that are having nerve pain in legs and lower back spasms or pain in lower back?

Just an additional thought~ are you taking B12? B12 is very useful & necessary for healthy nerve conduction( and energy). It is not contraindicated in Harvoni Tx. Or any other that I know of, per many forum posters & my pharma & hepa. I currently get a B12 shot monthly & take 2,000mcg daily. This is right for me. DEFINITELY check with your doctor to assess your B12 needs, if any. AND KEEP THE H2o FLOWING :-)

Just an additional thought~ B12 plays a large role in nerve conduction & is approved while treating, per many forum posters & my doc & pharma as well. I get a B12 shot was every week for 4 weeks & now monthly & take 2,000mcg daily. Definitely check with your doctor first to assess your particular needs, if any :-)

Hi Hope :)
I think any side effect is possible, although I've not specifically heard or read of the way you are describing this one. It sounds a lot like an L spine issue, especially lower back pain with sciatic or femoral nerve expression. Do you have previous disc or lower back pain? There are daunting leg cramps associated with hep c, but this does not sound like what you are describing.
Are you hydrating fully? Are you taking Vit D3?(helps immensely) Is Harvoni disrupting your sleep? If so/ if not, are you sleeping in a relaxed back friendly position? Just some thoughts. I don't know all implications~ Harvoni. And I'm certainly not a doctor, but I do have 7 disc herniations, which are most of the time very manageable,(stretching & strengthening PT) but I did have insomnia/ somnolence while treating & found myself falling asleep in some pretty strange positions( half sitting w/ iPad on face, neck hung over...) ouch & lol... You get the picture. So if your able to try all things back friendly & these pains don't abate.... Get out the ice pak & def check in with your doc( hepa or ortho or chiro) I'm sorry you're hurting!

Blessings,
Randy
Others might have more info~ if so they'll post, for sure~ hang in
