A anti-hcv test will detect the presence of antibodies to the virus.....means you have had exposure to hep c.
A hcv-rna pcr test identifies whether the virus is in your blood....meaning that you an an active infection.
I have had hep c for about 30 years. I have always had normal LFT's and normal everything until two years ago. I have had a CT Scan also showing a normal liver.
Just because these other tests are normal, does not mean you do not have hep c or you have it. I am saying this because my tests where all normal....... but I had hep c. It wasnt till two years ago when my alt and ast started to rise, then it was discovered I had hep c.
The only way to tell is from a specialised test that you are having tomorrow by the sounds of it. All the best with it. Try not to worry.
I sincerely hope you do not have hep c and wish you all the best.
take care
