Is it dangerous to get two vaccines in two years since the vaccine is good for Five?

I had pnemonia (pneumonia) twice...six years ago in May and the year after in June.  I had my pnemonia (pneumonia) vaccine after the second bout.  When getting my flu shot this year I was going to get my pnemonia (pneumonia) booster.  The nurse told me that you can only have two of these shots in a lifetime.  You might want to ask your doc or do some more reasearch on this.  I was told to wait until I'm older to get my second vaccine.  Best of luck to you.

My PCP recommended a pnemonia (pneumonia) and a flu shot a week after ending treatment. I asked if he was sure it was OK b/c my neutrophils were at 1.0. He assured me it was. I got very sick for almost a week and developed redness and swelling at the injection site. When I called my GI a couple of days after the shot, he told me he wouldn't have recommended the pnemonia (pneumonia) shot and ordered another 480mcl injection of neopogen. I'd check with your GI or Hepatologist before getting it.
