Check out the 'Thyroid Disorders Community' on Medhelp; they're a great bunch and, similar to here, post links on symptoms, side effects and co-managing your treatment. (I was hyper after treatment, not necessarily related, but probably exaccerbated by tx; had Radioactive iodine, and then became hypoactive). Both can be challenging, especially given the meds are accummulative.
I finished tx two and a half months ago and found out my thyroid was destroyed as well. I started medicine to treat hypothyroidism a few days ago and hope it helps. I also saw a cardiologist the other day who thinks I may have damage to my heart... I can barely get out of bed anymore. I hope they get you straightened out because I'm having a hard time seeing a light at the end of the tunnel.
Hello I am sorry you are having problems. I wonder why it is taking so long for yous TSH to be in the normal range.
If I were you, I would go to the top of the page, click on the magnifying glass and search for symptoms of low thyroid to see if there is anything about the skin. I will try a search and come back
Take care
