A similar thing happened to me years ago.I decided not to take the ad's no more cuz im NOT depressed. After a few months of quitting I was sweating-had dizzy spells and panic attacks came back. They subsided after restarting the ad's.I take them now off label for stomach issues Helps!!!Wean yourself under a drs care if you really want to be safe about it.Just cut the dosages a little at a time,,,,good Luck cindy
I've never been on AD's but I had a hard time getting off prednisone.
I had to wean very slowly.
Take is slow and easy and give yourself time to heal.
After doing my first tx, my dreams disappeared and didn't return for almost a year. The point is, it takes time.
Be kind to yourself.
OH
Oh no she didn't! Barking for 4 hours? I would have said something after 15 minutes. And if she would have cussed me.........well.......the term, 'Don't make me lose my Christianity' springs to mind. And I would have sent Can-Do-Man after her. (Hee, hee, hee)
I find I am most forgetful when I am distracted by too many things. Life, work, etc. So if you need some 'Me' time, be sure to give yourself a break and do something to de-stress. A good massage, a short vacation, a walk on the beach (well, okay, may be too cold for that now). Then, if you still feel foggy and forgetful, seek help from your doc. Couldn't hurt. An entire cart of groceries is a little scary. I walked off without one item (of 10) the other night, and that was enough to remind myself to be more alert.
Thanks for the input... I'm seeing how many AD's I have left and I'm going to stretch them out a bit longer.... seeing how my neighbor just called me fu#$%^ bi$%# I think I should stay on them a bit longer... I was just letting her know her dog was barking non stop for 4 hours right next to our house. But hey I'm the B*(&)**. Don't you think life is hard enough without people treating each other like dog poo.... Like Rodney King said "why can't we all get along?"
I'll see my doc on the 29th for the 4th month post tx., i dont think they like to deal with my little dizziness problem, its actuallly more like a cloud in my head...... If thats what it is its still better than hep c.
Well, at least we know its not only blondes that get dizzy. And for the record, I mentioned nothing about gender ;-)
on a serious note......... Mary, this could be so many things and maybe not even related to trt. Could be related to either high or low blood pressure, sugar levels, getting up too fast, etc, etc. Discuss with the doc if it continues. Best of luck.
Getting dizzy is normal aging....lol, that's why I see senior citizens walking in circles. ........
:0)
Getting dizzy is normal aging....lol, that's why I see senior citizens walking in circles. ........C'mon now. One thing I have noticed in post tx threads someone always suggests it's normal aging. Six months ago I felt fine, now my joints ache, I'm easily fatigued, dizzy, and in pain...eh it's normal aging. Why people suggest someone ages 30 years in six months astounds me.
This is a general observation, not directing at CL1.
It could be the AD detox. It could be the treatment or it could be normal aging. Do you have any other conditions like diabetes? If so, it could be that. Diet and particularly good old fashion aerobic exercise to get the blood flow going to the brain should help.
I don't think it's the AD's. I think it's post tx, I was getting really dizzy about three weeks ago, and I definetly suffer from CRS (can't remember ****). But I'm have been feeling really good this past week. I suppose post tx issues come and go a bit.
I'm a believer that it does get better for a high percentage if it didn't you'd have 1000's of folks on this forum posting of their problems.
Good luck.
It is one of the main side effects of AD withdrawal.
Sometimes withdrawal from an AD can take a long time.and weaning off (especially if taken for long periods and in fairly large doses ) can take months.
It is thought best to reduce the dosage very gradually for most AD"s by small degrees every 2 weeks

Once you’ve started taking antidepressants, stopping can be tough. Many people have withdrawal symptoms that make it difficult to get off of the medication.
If you decide to stop taking antidepressants, it’s essential to consult a doctor and taper off slowly.
If you stop abruptly, you may experience a number of unpleasant withdrawal symptoms such as crying spells, extreme restlessness, dizziness, fatigue, and aches and pains. These withdrawal symptoms are known as “antidepressant discontinuation syndrome."
Best to you..
