Yes, the cream is called CeraVe, could only find it at the hospital phamacy but it's the one topical that was soothing and moisturizing. Hope it helps!

Mikesimon gave you the statistics with percentage for rash. I can tell you my personal experience, and what I've heard from others. It seems that people who have trouble with rashes anyway (fair skin) tend to get the worst rashes on Tela. I've never had problems with skin rashes in the past. While on the Tela for the first 8 wks of tx, I developed a rash which was dry, itchy, burning and sandpapery, which began at 6 or 7 wks. It was mostly on trunk and arms and thighs. My skin was painful to touch and the many skin creams I tried hardly made a difference, though I did finally find something, a barrier cream, that helped. When the Tela was d/c'ed (I got placebo for 4 wks) the rash improved markedly. I think the rash side effect is one of the reasons they were trying to reduce the time on Tela. In my trial, people who did get it got it for 8 or 12 wks. In my case, 8 wks worked!
Rash, pruritus, and anemia more frequent among telaprevir-treated patients vs control patients
* Severe rash rare, but more frequent among telaprevir-treated patients vs control patients (3% to 5% vs 0%, respectively)
* Rash maculopapular in appearance
* Median time to rash appearance: 7-28 days
