Generally a multi vitamin without iron is okay but again, I would clear it first.
I assume you know that grapefruit can interfere with the anti rejection drugs but, in case you don't, grapefruit should be avoided and particularly around the time he takes his meds. Personally, I never eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice.
My advice is that you should feed him a well balanced diet complete with fruits and vegetables. I was advised not to eat rare meat (medium well was fine) and no runny eggs or raw seafood,clams or oysters. I imagine you have a book which outlines all of this. I think you should take it slow and easy and use common sense. It does take time and trying to accelerate the process might lead to problems that could be avoided. Good luck, Mike
