red palms & peeling of skin

hi all,
just been browsing the net as you do & did a search on 'red palms' which i now have with peeling skin....i've had this before........ heard about this a while ago.  i am now very concerned.  i am 47 male & have a drink most days ..........not to excess ......... i think i should be concerned & do something about this ............ i have also had the odd upper abdominal sharp pain........rarely.....guess this is a wake up call, not too late i hope !!

any good advice out there ?

If you suspect viral hepatitis infection, getting tested is the only way to find out. Most HCV patients are asymptomatic, and don’t discover the disease until they have progressed into late stage disease, or there doctors find it via routine checkups.

Symptoms such as red palms aren’t necessarily indicative of disease,

red palms can mean liver disease but so can many other things can cause red palms. sounds like it is time for you to be seen by a GI for testing. good luck

This can also be caused by fungal infections, a reaction to antibiotics, high red blood cell count, and much much more...It needs a Dr's attention as it is a symptom of an underlying issue that could be worse than peeling palms...~MM
