riba reduced-trial limits

Albumin "labrat" cannot use rescue drugs had riba reduced from 1000mg to 600mg because of 9.3 hmg after 17 weeks of treatment.  Major weight loss from 125 to 106lbs, 5'7".  Anorexic due to mouth pain.  Damn.  
I was wondering if anyone knew of a holistic way to improve hmg.  The Doc said iron was not the way to go - it would have no effect on hemolitic anemia.  

GrandmaA - are you out there?  I know you know something oh wise one.  

I am really mad at my self - I feel like my depression hastened my weight loss - I allowed myself to melt away.  I am working on this, I'm learning hard.  Force feeding anyone?  Thanks for being here!

The doc said they would do transfusion in emergency.  Yikes - don't like the sound of that but one brave soul - "alagirl" shared her experience and she's given me strength if it gets to that.  I just don't want to be dropped because of this anemia.  Had no idea how many levels of challenge I was in for.  It would be nice to hear from others that had dose reductions but still svr'ed.  Thank desrt - gonna pull out that blender.

What exactly did doc say about transfusion? As far as weight gain, Ensure and/or anything you find palatable tossed in a blender (turkey dinner frappe? pumpkin pie shakes?) Take care of yourself.
