If you stepped on an IV needle that was contaminated with HCV, there is a good chance of being infected (providing the needle broke the skin). HCV is not like HIV. It can survive for quite awhile exposed to the elements.

Is non-occupational needle stick the same as .. recreational needle stick?

1.8 % of getting HCV??      IF the non-occupational needle was previously used by another non-occupational user that has HCV the Chances of possibly getting HCV are 100%

Please stay away from non-occupational needles....

Will

What exactly is the non-occupational needlestick?
Also, is this another "hypothetical needle question" like the one you asked May 14?
