rogaine

i've been using rogaine before starting tx.
anyone have info wether or not this is advisable or not during tx?

I would contact the maker directly on that question.  My dr reccomended nioxin products and biotin 5mg, zinc and vit e for hair loss minimization.

I've had many clients that have used Rogaine over the years and there is one side effect that I have seen that might make you stop. It can make the skin itchy and red, also a side effect of tx.  Our skin gets so sensitive.  For a list of possible side effects go the the following site.  It scared me -

you guys my hair is coming out like mad...i can see my scalp and my hair is now so thin...my head even hurts at the base of the hair folicals.no kidding...

did anyone who's hair got this bad ever grow back after tx? is anyone elses hair comming out by the brushful? i don't know if it's just me or what. my mom was almost bald at her time of death... i read somewhere it can be a side of liver disease (as well as tx)...anyone else heard this? or could this just be a family thing? bad genentics??? my future fate?

i've been saving it. yes, you heard me. i've been keep'n it in a baggie...time to confess.  well, the baggie is full and i now have enough for a 70's toupe...good thing we can't die from lack of hair, i'd be on my way out...

yes, your hair loss from tx should grow back after tx.

My hair thinned a lot during tx, but never did I become completely bald. It stopped falling out with about 4 weeks of treatment left and starting growing back immediately upon completion. It is now quite thick again (three and a half months post-tx), except for a couple patches, and has also become oily.

OH I FINALLY GET IT...i thought you were saying i was beautiful with or with out hair in your eyes...heheehhhhhhhh...i really did.   you know hair in your eyes... i guess this would be the brain fog effect...

I always try to post on this subject because it was one of my biggest fears (if I had only known the real fears?) this is what I did to prevent hair loss and my hair is still intact and I am done after tomorrow with shots!!..
