I have to add that my mouth sores are on the OUTSIDE corners of my mouth not the INSIDE.  The A&D ointment that I mentioned is not for inside the mouth.  There are other products for sores inside the mouth.  I haven't had sores inside my mouth yet so I haven't researched those products.

Some have reported relief of mouth sores by adding a serving of yogurt to their diet each day but I do eat yogurt each day and I still get the darn sores in the corner of my mouth.  I've found that A&D ointment helps the best for me and I also try to keep those areas covered by a lip balm of some type (I use Burt's Bees) several times a day when I'm at work.

I also use a toothpaste and mouthwash products called Biotene.

If you don't get relief, mention it to your doc because there is probably a prescription product that will help.

Damosaab:  My opinion is forget the beer while on TX.

Apache1:  Thanks for that link  - it's one I hadn't seen yet.  I was RVR at 4 wks and had a very low VL (30,100) and I'm currently in week 44 of tx...it gives me a boost.   :)

Your chances are excellent right now so don't take the chance having a few beers while you are on treatment - as Rocker said alcohol can seriously effect the meds and cause them to be ineffective.......wait until you are sure you are SVR and then have a few once in a blue moon (don't know how much liver damage you have but there is no guarantee it will all go away).

It's only for a short while and believe it or not treatment goes by much more quickly than you will believe and then it's done (hopefully) for good. I tx'd for 72 weeks so believe me, I know but I've been SVR for over two years so it was all worth it. Wait until you can enjoy a nice big pizza with it ;)

Alcohol kills the TX drugs....you CANNOT drink while on the meds

You have an 81% chance of SVR after just 24 weeks treatment according to various reports on RVR with low viral load geno 1.
This stuff is all on the net-do some research on '24 week treatment geno 1 rapid virological response'
Forget about the beer-get the data on RVR and talk to your doctor.
