Hep C is NOT considered a STD in the way Hep B and Hiv are.  Of course, sexual activity is a primary method of transmitting Hbv and Hiv.  Hep C CAN be transmitted sexually but is very Low Risk, and is more common male to female.

Hep C is easily transmitted through blood transfusion (before 1992 or so) and sharing 'works' for drug use is the best way to transmit Hcv.  research indicates that 80% of drug users are pos for Hcv within 1 year of use.
