Sex is good for you !
I am married for 20 years and been infected longer than that.
My wife got tested right after I found out and it did not spread from me
to her in 20 years.
I recommend common sense over paranoia
There are no guarantees in life.
I probably had hepC when both my children were born and neither has the disease despite my not knowing I had it for over 30 years.
The likelihood of getting it during childbirth is slim.
As for the disease itself, the virus is so teensy, it can't be seen with the unaided human eye. This is why it could be passed on a toothbrush even though you didn't see any blood.
No, Cloning will be the newest trend in childbirth without Hep C. I understand that a Heifer Cow will be the surrogate mother, so just sit tight for a couple more years.

is the only way to ensure a safe child birth without Hep C is to perform a c section
Thank you for the insight :)
Can someone post a link to the safer sex HIV practices, when i put it in the search engine of the site could not find it
Both excellent posts. HepC is blood to blood borne disease so just remember to be as careful as possible. There are plenty of people who have absolutely NO idea where they got this disease from....but yet somehow they got it.
Refer to Safer Sex practices and guidelines that apply for HIV.
This will cover the same issues regarding toothbrushes, razors, etc.
a single drop of infected blood can contain up to 1 million hcv virons. ONE MILLION.
a speck of blood your eye cannot even see can contain hundreds and hundreds of them.
in the laboratory it takes between 20 and 40 virons to infect healthy tissue.
