ok so i don't know when or if I'm starting treatment havent gone to the doctor yet but i have seen many post about sex on treatment and was wondering about that. like is it uncomfortable or are u just so sick you dont want to deal with it? or can u give me an ideal of what to i should expect maybe?
To: NP...many people have very mild side effects while treating. Not to say some people don"t have certain things happen.however it is very often not the horror show you think it might be.

Im already fatigued and sore and constantly feel the need to throw up and i'm not on treatment so im sure there won't be much change in the feelings i have towards sex. Haha nd thanks for all the comments
I think boce must be an aphrodisiac. Unfortunately when the hgb went low the little woman used the potential heart attack excuse.
Everyone's body will not react the same way. Some that have a year treatment vs 6 months treatment will have different effects. Also if you can tolerate nausea, fatigue and muscle and joint aches you will be fine. On the other hand I was not. Ive never been the one that can tolerate pain or being sick to the stomach. Also nausea pills will make you very sleepy especially when you already have extemem fatigue.
Well I havnt heard of anyone not liking sex. Some perhaps have been too sick or weak from tx. Oh well life ***** for them! Good luck. by the way Im in wk 25 with out feeling bad from sx. Blondie Ps no insult intended for those who are suffering from sx.
The big thing about sex on tx is ... Ribavirin will cause birth defects and worse. Take all precautions not to get pregnant during treatment AND for six months afterwards.

Its not uncomfortable its just you so exhausted extremly fatigued you don't want to have sex. really think about it. Being sick all the times makes you feel less sexy and have less self confidence. Remember if you go on treatment let your hubby/boyfriend know before going on treatment that this possibly can happen so there not surprised. I hope this helps
