Ahem --- Didn't finish the train of thought there ---
I got diagnosed professionally AFTER Tx.
I had always assumed I was ---- but tightly controlled - or functioning... TX took all my control away.
Just letting you know that.

Yeah I can totally identify.
Uhm - here's the scoop. You're probably totally ADD or ADHD.
If you haven't been diagnosed (which with having adderall, you probably have been) you probably need to talk to your psychologist.
Anyhow the only thing that actually worked for me was Ativan or generic Lorazepam.
Getting your mind on track is something you might as well kiss goodbye until you're about 5 months post tx. At least for me that was about the time when things started fitting together again and I could make myself concentrate better and more calmly.
But there was a little while there that I was so much into a fog world that I just couldn't function at work. I had to back out - and say - hey - I could get someone killed with the way my brain is functioning.
About the anxiety though - get yourself into something calming --- yoga - comedies - slow music - heavy metal --- whatever works for you.
Make yourself breath in through your nose --- out through your mouth.
Get some Lorazepam. If you're ADD that might be the only thing that will work for you.
I wasn't diagnosed ADD (just assumed it prior to TX) but TX brought out the worst in a lot of things mentally... (Like not being able to stay focused, brain fog --- forgetting my middle name, etc.)
So what you're experiencing is totally the norm for some folks.
Hang in there --- enjoy it ---- pretend you went out and got stoned or something... LOL! (Just kidding --- but whatever you do in life try superhard to remember to keep laughter about it === it's my survival technique... Laugh a lot --- and no matter how bad it gets - you'll at least have fun with it....)
Nice to meet you.

make sure you have no caffiene in any more, pop, cooffee tes, even decaff has some.
find things that you can focus on and use up the energy...it could be painting, cooking, writing, reading...something to fucus in on one thing seems to lessen symtoms.
If you don;t get enough rest, try a milg sleep aide, (I like Ambien) this may give you a better nights rest, making you more calm daytime simply because you are rested. then you may not need the xanax which is quite strong. You may find taking things at lesser, childrens doses may work for you, since the body react differntly to drugs when sick, or when kidney/liver function is not optimal.
also eat riba morning and an early supper...so that they can make it out by bedtime,,,or at least low enough to allow some deep sleep.
Be sure to eat some fat in each meal with Riba, it helps it absorb better, but also a little slower so you don't get quite so jangled....and plus the food keeps the stomach colon from getting jittery from the riba. On the real painfilled/itchy/breathing probs days I've found an Ativan works wonders.
hope this helps
