If that glucose was 112 on an empty stomach, if I were you I'd follow it up in a couple of weeks or months with a retest. That sort of number indicates pre-diabetes. Of course, anybody can get a false reading, which is why you should do it over.
If you got a 112 after eating sweets, that's probably okay, although some doctors are now saying that people who will never get diabetes maintain constant readings below 100, but 112 isn't that much higher. Real diabetics get numbers from 200 to 500 or more.
Regular doctor visits with blood work should take care of you, and if anything changes, your doctor will tell you. BTW, if you're overweight, that's the number one cause of adult onset diabetes (aka type II). Be well, pigeon
I believe the last time that I had bloodwork done through LabCorp, that the sensitivity was <10. But you know I truly cannot remember, WONDER WHY? LOL! Still have a bit of that lingering! Sometimes a good thing, sometimes not so good. Hmmmmm..... wonder how long I can use that one? LOL
