spider naevi

Can you get this on your legs?
I have the dark spot in the middle then "spidery veins" coming out.
Is this the hepc or cirrhosis?

Yes they disappear when I press on them than reappear.
Maybe because I'm on my feet 8 hours a day I get them on my legs. Together with the varicose veins I already have, no more shorts for me.
Thanks for asking about the Dr..
I think I posted before he wants to do a liver scan first because he thinks I have cirrhosis from the catscan that he found after my last visit.Couldn't find it before.
Anyways, that is next month, then more blood work, then meet with him to come up with a new game plan.
Leaning towards just going for it and treat now.

Thanks for asking,
DJ

From your description, it sounds like spider nevi; although they usually show up on the upper body. I don’t think they’re always attributed to either HCV or cirrhosis, either; they can be related to other causes as well. Does it ‘blanch’ and disappear momentarily when you push on it with your finger, then rapidly reappear?

I had several of them over the years, but they have toned down for the most part. I had a big one on my right cheekbone just below my eye, and it’s all but gone now.

How’s it going with the doctor; have you discussed biopsy with them yet?
