starting my 3 combo treatment this up coming wk

I have Hep C 1A. I feel thankful I found this forum. I have some fear on how sick I will feel the next 12 weeks. Your words/sharing will help me not feel alone while I'm going though this. I'm a little stuck on the side affects. If there any little tricks to lessen the side affects.  So far I got ginger, new PJs and heating pad. I do take trazodone already for sleeping. Anything else?
combo pegsays/ribavirin/ sovaldi.....
again I'm thankful Aetna covers the treatment/ it is only 12 weeks...and they are saying this is a cure...

I will be on week 6 tomorrow and really have had no side effects other than an off and on headache which isn't as bothersome as it was in the beginning.  And a little fatigue, but that could just be  because the dogs and I love a good afternoon nap.  This is my 5th time treating and by far the easiest.  Don't worry about being sick...as can-do-man and Faithdove recommended, drink lots of water and I suspect you'll get through the 12 weeks just fine.  Oh and BTW, for the first time ever I am UNDETECTABLE ~ it's a wonderful feeling,  Good luck to y'all!!!

My husband just started this treatment yesterday. He is genotype 1a too. So far he said he had a headache, I have been keeping his water glass full, he had a habit if not hydrating. Best wishes to you, we are all in it together.

Besides having plenty of water to drink and maybe some Tylenol on hand I wouldn't go out and spend much on things you more then likely will not need. I would guess before the sides set in your treatment will mostly be over being its just 12 weeks... Good luck to you.
