steroid question to GI.PA

by red man, Jun 01, 2002 12:00AM
I have had a back ache for several weeks now and i am begining to believe it is sides related. I went to my primary care doctor and she had xrays done and did not find anything. She had me wait in the room until she contacted my tx GI and asked him what she could give me meds wise. She said he told her whatever she determined was all right. She gave me a shot of steriods and a pain killer. She also perscribed muscle relaxer keflex. I read in an earlier post that steroids make the virus more active or something of that nature. I quess my question is do you think this could affect my tx. I am due for my 24 week blood work soon. I am sorry I don't know the name of the steroid she gave me. It did not help any way and I have stopped taking the Keflex and my back still aches.
