I have the same problem. I'm constantly tired and weak, but have insomnia. It's a side-effect from ribaviron, also, but it's a common hep-c problem.
I love this tea that I get at Target for about $5. It does a pretty good job of knocking me out:

It's just an extremely stressful and tiring process.
For 1B it would be pot and ambien. For 1A, 4 out of 5 dentists agree it's hash and ambien. Your mileage may vary.
thanks for the advice. i have tried everythng and it jst seems to be no relief in sight.. im just frustrated
I think a lot of your questions will be answered when you finally get to see a Hepa on Friday (Good for you for getting in so soon btw). In the mean time it could be lots of things. The stress you are feeling and seemingly unexplained ailments you have been having could be explained once you have an assessment (by doctors who go by more than just what is on a lab report). Not having options or emotional support can be overwhelming. Then there is the other side of the coin: diet and lifestyle. Without going into all that or knowing more about yours, sudden or unassailable fatigue could be due to lots of things.
If this is not a question on an intake form I would bring this up when you have your visit.
I would think getting sleep for a few days would help. Maybe some Ambien (Zolpidem)? I needed 10 mg. Also, try to stay away from stressful situations.
"what is a good thing to do for extreme exhaustion with hep c genotype 1b?"
"A good thing to do" if you have HCV is to treat the disease. The exhaustion is from your body constantly fighting the disease. Exhaustion will only stop after successful treatment.
Consult with a Hepatologist (liver specialist) for treatment plan.
Best of luck
been suffering insomnia with extreme fatigue lately, my daughter got me some sleepy time tea a couple nights ago and I have finally been able to sleep for 3-4 hours/time. May help, it did for me. Has valerian and chamomile, don't know if these are ok for the liver but. I'm hep c/cirrhosis/type 1
