LOL thank God for this forum that is the kind of question that you can't just ask a coworker right?

I don't have any honest answer for you at all but in general it's so hard to "get" hepC unless it's "blood to blood" that I would assume a tampon would work just fine or everybody I've ever swam with in the town pool would already be polluted with my blood and I like to swim a LOT in the summer and we have a GORGEOUS town with an amazing pool. One time it pays off to be the poor guy living in 90210ville :)

I can't believe even the fearless can man hasn't touched this one, maybe his pole is toooo shorrttt!!!!!

OK, NY girl is probably right as rain- unless your swimming with the sharks, I cannot imagine a threat. ESpecially in a chlorinated system. I think I might avoid wading pools but even then, your water hose is chlorinated unless your on a well.

That said: feminine blood products.  My doc said to avoid "sex rough enough to bleed", which was not a problem, but back when I still had a puppy sack, sex EVERY week was not uncommon if you get my drift.  That said, hubby and I have been together 26 years, I had Hep C every one of them, and he is negative. One son was a nasty C-section (apgar score of 1) they held him inside me and worked on him 45 minutes.  He's negative.  So, household members that contract are rare as hens teeth.

In fact: DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A CASE THAT SPREAD TO SPOUSE? CHILDREN?  I guess I am curious....how did snook get it ?

ah ha!!  we have tested your boundaries.... and found a weekness... tee heee, for some hick type reason, I have always loved that song... maybe because some of the fondest memorys of my youth involve a canal, a cushman scooter, and unlimited freedom.  Its really sad our children will never know what it was like to take off, run the countryside, and come home at dinner time... can you imagine letting a ten year old girl take off for a day at a time....now??

Sad but not in this day and age you couldn't. My grandpa and grandma owned a cottage off sugar creek and in the summer every morning hed sing that. That was his way of letting us know it was time to go fishing. Oh if you only never had to grow up.

Haaaaa, the days of my youth, I was raised at the foot of the appalacian mnts and I hunted ,trapped, fished everyday. When I was 7 years old we ran in the woods all day long. My kids are parked in front of video games and the such instead. It's a shame. Hell I still ain't growed up!

Don't know how old dyce is, but can man I can assure nothing metastatic happened at 50!!  So no danger of succumbing to growndum here... spent the day on the computer surfing, feeding the spring fever... for me that means i ordered belgian quail antwerps eggs for the incubator, two pairs of fancy pigions (trumpeters and fantails),......already got two dozen laying chicks... now does that sound grownup???  Hubby just hopes that I don't want more horses.... anything else he breathes a sigh of relief..and asks what kind of cage I want this time.... he's always known the way to my heart!!

Hope to see you post more, Just to let you know sometimes things just roll out of my mouth. Some say its a warped sense of humor. Others just know i'm plain crazy. But nothing i say is intended in a bad way. So if i say summin to ya that you don't like just let me know and smack me around a little bit. Just don't hit me to hard or be like fishdoc and get any pitchfork out after me. As i would never offend any gals here on purpose.

Well all right, another one with a sense of humor. Just jump right in and join the party. Folks here are friendly, most are crazy, (only they don't admit it) One thing you will see real quick is were a nosey bunch of heppers. Bunch of nib sh!ts. Like always asking your stats, sex, age, stage, and what you had for lunch. BTW what did you have for lunch?

I saw your comment about the Appalacian mountains. I grew up in eastern tennessee in coal mining country and our school bus had to drive throug a running creek everymorning. If it rained too much the kids on the other side got a day off due to high water. We didn't check in with home but the rule was the dog always went with us. We'd jump coal trains and ride the tracks, walk down the mountain half a day for a ten cent coke. I think we were poor but I never knew it. I wish my kids knew. Dale

Hey groovy - really don't ever be embarrassed about postin stuff here that ya need to know. Cripes being open about stuff here has helped me so much in the rest of my life. Course sometimes one can be a little too open with can doodle man around...but really glad to see new poeple jump in. Really it's amazing how some people, including myself were so timid in the beginning, and now ya can't get rid of us. BUT what you learn along the way is invaluable. Keep posting.

Can man - you said...sometimes things just roll out of my mouth...
Wait- are you still trying to recreate that incident with the poster that got 'something' used off the floor in their mouth and was nervous about getting infected? can man, can man, can man...the lengths you will go to to figure that out.
Ya know did you  ever see Swordfish. Sometimes I picture you sitting at the computer like that  guy trying to break the code or whatever...Your swingin around from monitor to monitor, comin out with 1, 2, and 3 liners.. bells ringin when ya hit it on the money... just don't stop dude, the  humour here is an attraction that keeps us all grounded. Thanks.

....pops car just pulled in...Now that's a laugh.
I'll have to tell the guys I drive to meetings about that. Remember I just 'upgraded' to a 10yro car in December. Ford Wagon..they call it my 'sometimes' car #2. Like the 91 Honda...sometimes the windows work, sometimes the low gas warning goes on right after I gas up, you get the pic... other day I'm drivin down the steet, the back wipers pop on, maybe I bumped em. So I turn wem off, the front wipers go on, I turn em off, they start a symphony, back wpr, front wpr. Guy I'm drivin to a meeting, sittin there fresh outta doin 6mos vaca in 'department of corrections'(again)..says this is the kinda car I'd steal, get around the block and drop back off, know how embarrasing in the joint it is to do time for a lemon.

Not much exciting, went to work checked in here. Did my part in driving people crazy. Just jump right in a conversation you will find a lot of nice people who enjoy talking. Were all in the same boat here. people find out here real fast that there are very few stuck ups here. And are just hoping new people like you join in. It makes for a lot of fun. After a few posts you will see just how nice and funny most are. Lots of time people don't read this far down, so don't think its you, its just were blowing off around the top. And you don't need to open a thread if you got a question or just want to talk post in one thats open like were doing.
