Since starting tx, and to this day, it is like I have a baby's taste buds.  I taste everything more. Seems everything is kicked up a notch so I have to be careful to not make things to salty, spicy, or to much sugar.  Also, I had no depth perception prior to tx and now it's amazing and love to look outside and see the clarity and beauty.

That's funny.. before I started tx, I never ate red meat.. I was almost a vegetarian..  But, the last couple of months on tx, I was craving meat.  Since I was craving it, I figured my body needed it, so I started eating hamburgers and a little bit of steak.  I'm 1.5 weeks off of tx and could eat a hamburger every night.. along with bunches of other stuff..  and I can't wait to go out for lobster..  I just need my WBC to go back up and my flu shot to kick in..

No I could not eat red meet on treatment either and I always crave hamburgers (always did prior and that is back with a vengeance!)

No wonder I gainned back all the weight plus right after treatment even though I was working out like crazy, ice cream, oreos, cheeseburgers...I could not STOP it was so delicious to taste real food better than ever!

Well, I am 24 weeks (out of 28) into treatment with Vic and everything has tasted like cardboard for most of the time.  Also finding my stomach is not handling red meat well so lots of fish, chicken and vegies/fruit.  Anything salty is terrible including fries which I never ate often but not at all now.  Looking fwd to tasting food again.

I just finished tx a little over a week ago.. and I am loving food.  It is all I think about.. I will eat breakfast and an hour later I'm looking at the clock to see if it is time for lunch.  I lost 20lbs on tx, and I'm thinking that is going to be short lived..  When my WBC is back up, I have a list of things I want to go out for..  Lobster and a really good burger are on the top of my list..  Like nygirl17, the first time I could really taste peanut butter I almost cried..

Yes at first it was amazing I dont know if it was because after 72 weeks of INF I was so used to tasting meds in everything I ate or if it was actually better but like I always said the first time I got it back and tasted what a real Oreo cookies tasted like, I almost cried.
