tests results

I just got my 2 month PCR back yesterday. NEGATIVE !!!!!! The doctor said that I should not get too excited yet, that It has only been 2 months and that my 6 month test would be the true one, but how can I not. I have waited almost 4 years to hear those words. I relapsed after the first round (48 weeks) within the first two months, and just finished another 72 weeks of this stuff,so to me this test was extremely important.

For those of you just starting, I am  a 40 year old white female with genotype 1A.  2 million starting viral load, minimal liver damage. I have just about every side effect there is during these two rounds of tx including losing my thyroid.  So was it worth it............Absolutely.!

I want to thank all of you for your friendship, encouragement, compassion, prayers and most of all for all the information so many of you have provided. Many times I didn't think I could finish but you here have kept me going.

Thanks again, Kim

P.S. If any of you still talk to Indiana let him know that I don't need that seat on the bus, we are all taking a limo to pick up our SVR awards :)

Thank you all so much. I wish I could have contributed as much here as you all claim. ahahah but it was nice of you to say. I tried to make everyone here feel positive about what they were doing as far as tx and themselves.

I know that is one of the things I needed most was the encouragement to keep going, and you guys here definately did that for me.

For now I am just going to keep doing what I think is best for my liver, and not stress about the 6 month test but enjoy the outcome of this one.

Harley- There is definately room for you, I don't know about the cute women though (I did see your post tx picture on hotheps ahahahahah) I think that everyone I have met here is beautiful. Limos and Harleys- much better ways to travel than a crowded ole bus. Thanks. Kim

Doll Face, That news made my day, and the rest is right- get excited, of all people that deserves a negative test result It's YOU, you have been so helpful to so many of us, and have been through so much. Your the type of person a forum like this needs. Don't even worry about your 6 month test,I just know you'll pass that one with flying colors also, It's only uphill form here on out. Don't worry about the Bus- My Boy's and I took care of that thing(crushed it down to the size of a shoe box, also killed the little gay beaver, or whatever it was. I would also like a ride in the Limo, the one with all of the cute Gals. See Ya and good luck- Harley

I have to ditto what Harley said. You are so very deserving. Thanks for your strength & compassion. I also want to add that my Dr. also said that in all of the cases he's txed, he's never had a negative at 3 months be positive at 6.  Happy days,   Joni

That's great news Kim. I've seen a study wherein ALL patients clear at 3 months were also clear at 6 months. I relapsed in 2.5 weeks. I went from undetectable to 6.8 million IU/ML in that short period of time so I think you have good reason for optimism. I am thrilled for you. I know it has been a long hard road but you traveled it with grace. Best of luck. Mike
